Dear Lilburn Elementary Parents and Community Members,
Welcome to Lilburn Elementary School, our “home away from home” where students grow to their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally. At our school, we pride ourselves in maintaining high expectations for achievement while focusing on the individual needs of each student. We have dedicated teachers who ensure our students benefit from engaging lessons that encourage our scholars to think critically and solve real-world problems. Every member of the school community works to provide our students with an environment conducive to teaching and learning.
As you know, the home-school communication is a vital key to building success at school. Feel free to use your child’s agenda books and Friday Folders to communicate with the teacher. Use this website to find general information about our school including calendars, enrollment information, our PTA, and more. The website provides you a link to the Gwinnett County Public Schools curriculum or Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS). You will also find educational links for your children.
I welcome your support in strengthening the home-school connection and encourage you to get involved in your children’s education. Please visit our parent center for information about volunteering at our school. The parent center also has materials you can check out to practice academic skills with your children at home.
Since you are our partners in education, we will work together to educate and nurture our children. In order to do so, Lilburn Elementary School teachers and administrators will continue to operate under its four guiding principles:
Building character in all students;
Engaging parents and the community in the education process;
Striving to maintain a safe and secure learning environment; and
Teaching all students to learn at high levels.
It is my priority to help provide students with the BEST education in an effective learning environment, full of incredible experiences. Be sure to read the Lilburn Ledger, the parent newsletter found in the parents' section of the website. Let's have an amazing school year!
